BOO! Things that go bump in the deep dark wOOds, BOO!
One day while walking through the woods, and it just so happened that these particular woods were part of a national forest that we had located utilizing good ole' MaPQuest.
While walking in the forest we had taken a break from a vigorous hill assent, and while sitting there in a densely laden bluff of pine trees, we thought we heard something.
We thought we had heard low talking voices, so we began to look around for someone but we saw no one else near us in the woods on that desolate, erie hilltop.
Then we sat there very quiet wondering if someone or something was out there lurking in the shadows just waiting for that right moment to pounce. It was then in the silence off the woods, totally silent except for a light breeze. It was on that light breeze that we heard the voices once again.
You may not believe this but the voices we heard on that mystical day were the voices of the trees, they were conversing with each other. What is even more astounding is what we over heard them say.
The bigest oldest most grandest tree of them all asked all of the other nearby trees this question, "If a telephone pole falls in the city, and none of us trees are around to hear it, does it make a sound." The tree went on saying, "And more importantly will they use one of us to take that fallen telephone poles place."
On that mystical day out in the woods we were shocked to learn that trees could talk and more so that they would mock us.
So we went back to that same location the next day, to see if they would mock us again, and we did not hear a peep out of them, so I picked up my chainsaw and we went home.

Some people have gardens for a hobby, because it's relaxing, or they like fresh food.

Farmers grow food but it doesn't seem very relaxing, but most farmers would not care to be anything else.

This MapQuest point of interest is quite unique, this is Dominoes Pizza world headquarters called Domino Farms.

The whole length of the multiple buildings are illuminated in deep green lights. The buildings are out in the country along the highway, so when you see them for the first time its way cool.

If you look hard at the night shot you can see the silhouette of something that resembles a lightning bolt. That is what some people call the mandatory cell phone tower. The pic below is the tower in the daytime.

~Dam Good Winterfest~

That's the best name for a winter festival we have seen.
The reason for the almost curse word is that the town's that are participating are located by dams.
The fishing contest is called,
"Dam To Dam".
One of the towns participating in the Dam Good Winter festival is historic, picturesque Newaygo Michigan.

FYI, The frozen fish pic below does not click to a link.

The person walking is coming in from about a mile out, where approximately100 people are ice fishing.

LIVE SOCHI OLYMPICS!

(not)

We are going to talk to the man on the street to get his in depth view and analysis of these Olympic games.

The man on the street at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic games says that the event is spectacular and is glad he was able to make it and be a part of this world wide historic sporting event.

His only gripe is that he is having trouble receiving his mail. He has waited all day by the side of the road and still nothing.

It is now nightfall and he is getting a little steamed.

So in this instance beauty is not in the eye of the beholder, pollutants is.

Look at all of the saved energy and lower pollutants MapQuest has benefited us with by getting us to our desired destination more efficiently.

Boom Boom, out go the lights.

Stark contrast is sometimes stark.

What?

Well for instance look as these pix below.

You go from natural outdoor lighting and nature, to unnatural lighting and a cheap retail environment.

Its like stark contrast came up and slapped you in the jib.

Got snow?

This arctic looking location is more southern than the northern border of California.

They are from Point Pelee, Ontario, Canada, on the shore of the mighty great lac' Erie.

The lake is frozen over and the snow on the ice is being blown ashore.

Sometimes you don't know which way to go, its a 50 50 shot in the dark.

Should I go left or should I go right.

The same holds true for many websites, you don't know if you should click on them, you don't know what's going to happen.

You risk getting a virus, trojan, keylogger,  or worse.

That's why we always utilize good ol reliable MapQuest.

The farmers we know are hard working, intelligent, patriotic, entrepreneurs.

They are the diametrically opposite of the yokle redneck country bumpkin.

There should be a national day of honor that recognizes the farmer.
