MapQuest , & MapQuest Classic are here with the breaking news, ok maybe its not breaking news maybe its just broken news.

Fyi we're not MapQuest nor are we affiliated with the best map and driving directions service, but we are the #1 MapQuest fan site.

It has been pack dog cold round here lately,

And here's proof, this cars outside temperature guage says that it is

"-IF"degrees.

The little tower in the middle far off on the horizon is a light house.
The actual temp is minus one degrees farenheit, but -IF keeps you from putting your tongue on any nearby metal poles.

MapQuest;
Spelled backwards is,
TseuQpaM.
MapQuest spelled incorrectly is
MapQwest.
Yet when you spell it wrong it is still pronounced correctly, even more so.

We are surprized that MapQuest didnt mispell their name purposefully like Google misspelled the word goggle, so that they were unique and not using an English language word.
When it comes to names Twitter is the most unique, but they used the term "tweets" which is not something unique to them. They should have mispelled it "tweats", then they would have the rights to the term, but does it really matter when people are tweeting 200 Million tweets a day!
If you sleep 6 hours a day you can tweet 55.555555555 times in one hour. You are limited to a total of 1000 tweets a day.

Unless you're a teenage girl what could you possibly say 1000 times a day, and if you are doing so then please stop.

MapQuest Olympics

Just out of curiosity we MapQuested London, England to Sochi, Russia the location of the 2014 Olympic winter games.

If you were to commit to this leisurely drive claustrophobia would be detrimental, as you would be in a tunnel for 36 miles traveling from England to France under the English channel.

There is also another 500 mile strech on the Autobahn.

The drive is 49 hours, 2445 miles.

Sochi is located at the southwest side of Russia, on the northeast side of the Blacksea.

Thirsty ? For some hydrostatically delivered h2o, aka a water tower.

The manner in which a photograph is framed up greatly alters the pictures profoundness, as evidenced by this cropped water tower.

If you build it they will come, to use it, functionality is sometimes the key.
Now to some this structure looks dilapidated, to others it is a work of ART!
The seasoned rustic wood, lack of a fresh coat, minor seasonal air conditioned gaps between boards = aesthetic symphony.
Or art.
If you would care to let your pupils focus on such, just MapQuest "farm" or country".
These wonderful historic structures adorn the countryside.

MapQuest, no kidding, it's something to crow about, unless the wool gets pulled over your eyes.

Classic MapQuest Driving Directions

If you're following MapQuest Driving Directions, and those directions say follow the road for 1.4 miles then bear to the right, or bear to the left, make sure you do that, but don't stop, just in case MapQuest meant one of these fellows.

This bridge looks odd from any distance.
Far, closer, close up.
It is a modern bridge, will it have the longevity that older bridges have?
The Brooklyn bridge in New York was built in 1883.
Will these modern bridges be here in 130 years?

MapQuest Walking Directions

We never would have thought that we would need to use walking directions, wow were we wrong.
We had too walk downtown from one location to another and it was imperative that the shortest route possible be utilized due to our shoes nicknamed, “ Mr. blister toe twister, corn n' bunyan lister".
