They originally used a pointy stick, made a hole in the ground then dropped the seed into the hole and covered it with dirt.

 The stick aided the farmer.

Then they hitched a plow to a team of mighty horses.

 The horse aided the farmer.

Now they use the monsters in the picture above, they have about $one million dollars of equipment.

The bank aided the farmer.
