" A computer based autonomous robotic Droid, aka a self driving car."
That OMG doesn't use driving directions

When The Beatles wrote the song "Baby you can drive my car," they never ever probably thought for a second that the driver of that car would be a computer based autonomous robotic Droid, aka a self driving car, which is not to far away in time, not distance as in driving directions.

No one back then or even a couple of years ago thought that many peoples means of transportation would be an Uber driver.

Because a self driving car is operated by computers those computers need to know exactly where they are going, and because of this need, map based technology is going to have to go extreme high tech. With accuracy and speed.

Did you know that a typical dashboard GPS like a TomTom from 2014 has more than 200 times the speed of what NASA used in 1969 for the moon landing.

Maping and GPS will be very critical for Autonomous cars. But you say, "I'll never let a car drive me around". Well guess what? Thats the same thing people said when the horse-less carriage aka cars and automobiles came into existence. When is the last time you utilized a one horsepower buggy to go to WalMart. If so, we like your Abe Lincoln style beard, and that is a b*tchn laquer job you've got on your buggy, Amish dude.

The expert fortune tellers of the future gazing into their crystal balls predict that boycotting the use of self driving cars will be the equivalent of insisting on staying with riding a horse instead of driving a car.
Now just imagine what you will do with all of that extra time you will have during your autonomous commute. Not only from not having to drive but also from way less traffic accidents and congestion.
Self driving cars will eliminate many accidents and congestion because most people don't understand the laws of physics and inertia, and they can only blindly/ragingly see the bumper right in front of them.

Woo Hoo !  A Big Bang three day weekend.
No not the hit sitcon, but the original big bang,  The Fourth of July.

This Year's Fourth of July travel will probably set records with gas at a low price and dropping again woohoo.

All websites that have anything to do with travel or vacation classically see a huge  increase in activity during the summer and or during vacations, and holidays.

In areas with low rainfall they are again asking for the public not to have open fires or utilize fireworks due to the high risk of Fire.

With a high volume of people heading to remote areas is a great idea to use MapQuest, and it is greatly appreciated when you visit the highly popular website Mapquestoriginal.blogspot.com

As always drive safely have fun and if you use fireworks take precautions so that you can still count to 10 afterwards.

MapQuest Classic Original brings you not only great driving directions but any & everything betwixt.
Today on national Wine drinking day on Twitter, we have a link to a website that suggests safer wines to drink.

http://www.beveragegrades.com/wine-category
Don't drink and drive. Call a Uber ride or taxi or friend or walk or crawl or take a horse as long as you know the horse, don't just take a strange horse bcuz horses know where they are going and will probably take you directly to an Amish farm, where they will put you to work milking the chickens and slopp'n the Cow's.
And we're not even going to tell a farmer's daughter joke, especially an Amish one.

What do you call an Amish guy with their arm all the way up a horses hiney?
A mechanic.
