Driving Donate Howling Dogs
MapQuest driving directions are very beneficial when you are going somewhere, which usually involves driving or walking, and when you drive or walk you use your Feet, but when you walk you use your feet which is where the term foot traffic comes from.
When people are on their feet a lot they may complain about their “dogs” as in, “my dogs are aching”. We personally prefer to say “my dogs are howling, they’ve been barking at me all day”
In the world of websites you want foot traffic which is called internet traffic, and that is when people find and/or visit your website.
One way to obtain internet traffic is to use certain popular topics or key words. Below is a list of some of the most popular topics or keywords.
1. Sell Annuity Payment
2. Mesothelioma Law Firm
3. Donate Cars in MA Boston
4. Insurance Cheap
5. Donate Your Car for Kid
6. Hard drive Data Recovery Service
7. Criminal Defense Attorneys Florida FLA
8. Best Criminal Lawyers in Arizona Phoenix
9. Motor Replacements
10. Asbestos Lawyers (if you're a night owl you hear &see these on late night tv daily at night)
11. Car Insurance Quotes Denver CO
12. Dayton Freight Lines
13. How to Donate A Car in California
14. Donating a Car in Maryland
15. Donate Cars Illinois & Chicago
16. Donate Your Car Sacramento
Many of these key words are fueled by lawyers who spend huge amounts of dough on advertising.
Since we’re kind of on the subject of dogs, here are some cute dog pictures to bark about.

Before MapQuest: How We Got Hopelessly Lost on the Dirt Roads
![]() |
| "A fully optimized mobile device, circa 1930." |
Driving directions back then came from exactly two places: a paper map that refused to fold back up, or a "yap" (someone's mouth). If you were behind the wheel, your strategy for finding your way usually involved three desperate stages:
The Corner Loiterer: You'd pull over and ask a random pedestrian standing on the street corner—assuming they looked at least 51% trustworthy and possessed a basic understanding of north vs. south.
The Gas Station Gamble: If that failed, you'd pull into a filling station. The teenager working the pump was asked for directions forty times a day, so you just prayed they weren't guessing to get you out of their hair.
The Last Resort Farmhouse: If you hit the rural backroads, you had to pull the ultimate move of shame. You’d sheepishly walk past actual sheep, dodge a few farm dogs, knock on a stranger's front door, and swallow your pride to admit you were lost.
The best part about knocking on those doors? It instantly makes you think of all those classic farmer’s daughter jokes.
Of which, we are going to tell absolutely none. Keep it classy.

And he walks up to the bar, and the bartender says, "Hay buddy,, why the long face."
MapQuest a sign of the times
Good signs are ones that are memorable, or grab your eyes with flamboyant color and or lighting.
This sign is so big that it when it changes color its almost like the whole building is changing color.
It has good colors, it catches your eye and its attractive.
When using Swype you only have to come close to touching all of the letters that are in the word you are entering or typing. As long as you come relatively close to most of the letters in the word will print.
Although he died in 2011 at 83 years of age, his somewhat morbid legacy continues.
The van that he used in his assisted suicides and to transport the dead to ER's is for sale at the infamous Detroit pawn shop American Jewelry and Loan from the hit TV show Hardcore Pawn, featuring Wes and his family.
Wes thinks the van will sell for somewhere in the neighborhood of $40,000, we think after all the national notoriety that the selling price will be much higher.
Kevorkian was involved in approximately 130 assisted suicide.

You can get the MapQuest App at Google play store, Apple App store, or from The all New and improved MapQuest internet website and it's free! Woo hoo!

Mobile Cell phone GIANT Verizon purchased Aol May of 2015 for 4.4 billion dollars. AOL had bought MapQuest in 1999 for 1.1 billion dollars. So Verizon is now the parent company to MapQuest.
Which is probably why we're seeing all of these improvements being added to good ole reliable MapQuest Driving Directions and Maps.
FYI, if you were wondering who voted the MapQuest App one of the best for 2016 it was unabashedly us at MapQuestOriginal.blogspot.com.

MapsOriginal — JokesLoL, Memes & Internet Entertainment
Welcome to MapQuest Original — JokesLoL, Memes & Internet Entertainment
The internet used to be simple.
You’d accidentally discover a weird website at 2 AM, laugh at something completely ridiculous, send it to your friends, and somehow lose three hours of your life without regretting any of it.
That’s the spirit behind MapsOriginal.
This site isn’t trying to solve world peace, improve your credit score, or convince you to meditate on a mountain while drinking cucumber water. There are already enough websites doing that.
Instead, MapsOriginal is here for:
humor
memes
internet randomness
sports jokes
Chuck Norris “isms”
weird observations
relatable life nonsense
and whatever else makes people laugh during a stressful day.
Some posts will be short.
Some will be absurd.
Some may even make you question the direction humanity is heading.
That’s part of the experience.
The internet has become overly polished and strangely serious lately. MapsOriginal is an attempt to bring back some of the chaotic fun that made browsing the web entertaining in the first place.
Expect:
baseball humor
football jokes
tech jokes
meme experiments
internet culture
and occasional content that probably sounded funnier at 1:30 in the morning.
If you enjoy the content, stick around, bookmark the site, or share a post with someone who also spends too much time online.
And remember:
If a joke misses, just pretend it was satire.

MAPQUEST DRIVING DIRECTIONS
We have discovered different websites resembling MapQuest that are utilizing the same MapQuest format, look and feel of the real and true
"MAPQUEST.com"
When you open their webpage you get a very similar website that resembles MapQuest !!!
On these sites you can enter your starting point and your final destination. You will then get a route, just like you would on the real MapQuest.
These possible imposters are using different web addresses. Instead of using Mapquest.com they are using as an example, Mapquest, .biz, .org, .io, .info etc..
Or they utilize Mapquestdrivingdirections "dot" whatever but they will misspell something in Mapquestdrivingdirections, they will add an extra "s" to the end of directions or they will use some other misspelling to look like they are the real MapQuest.
This is an underhanded trick but they are getting away with it for now.
One of the fake sites has garnered a lot of web traffic, so be aware of the actual web address before you click to open a website that you think is the real Mapquest.

MAPQUEST DRIVING DIRECTIONS
We recently researched on Duckduckgo and Google, what returns a person gets when they type in "MapQuest Driving Directions".
Of course one gets the official MapQuest website at the top of the page.
This is immediately followed by websites who appear to not be an official MapQuest website. However these websites do offer driving directions similar to that of MapQuest.
We actually think that these websites may be utilizing the same driving directions "search engine" that MapQuest utilizes.
For many years our website that you are currently on "MapquestOriginal.blogspot.com" was the third ranked listing when you typed in "MapQuest classic original" in most search engines which were Google, Yahoo, Bing, or DuckDuckGo.
We diligently tried to remain in the third position of returns, but the search engines were uncooperative in divulging their information on how they ranked a website in page rank of returns, and we eventually dropped off the face of the earth when a person typed in MapQuest Original , MapQuest Classic, or a combination or MapQuest Classic Original.
We went from the first page of results to virtual obscurity. We think this may have occurred for political affiliation and social justice reasons, such as the banning of many famous people from twitter.
We will never know!!!
Every professional SEO company, which stands for "Search Engine Optimization", claimed in order to be a top listed, in the first page rank of any subject that you had to have the following criteria:
1) Backlinks from other reputable websites.
2) Lots of pertinent information on your website.
3) Keywords
4) A dotcom web address.
5) Unique, interesting info, design, pictures or videos.
Our website MapQuestOriginal.blogspot.com never had ANY backlinks from other websites, yet we maintained the third rank on the first page of returns. So all of the professional SEO websites were wrong in the fact that a website HAD to have backlinks for good SEO.
We also never obtained the proper dotcom address the SEO companies said was required. Our address should have been "MapquestOriginal.com" instead we used "MapquestOriginal.blogspot.com" because it was free through Blogger, which is also Blogspot.com
That's all for today , please come back soon!

The Internet is still the WWW
uhm... thats WILD WILD WEST
not WORLD WIDE WEB.
We've been trying to figure out the internet for about 25 years!
And guess what? We still do not have a clue.
We created this website WWW.MapquestOriginal.blogspot.com
In order to generate income.
To do so, a web page has to get traffic. A way to get traffic is to
appear on the first page of results when the subject is entered. If a
person typed into a search engine Mapquest Classic or Mapquest
Original
they would get a search results page that would list websites related
to Mapquest Original and or Mapquest Classic, and our webpage
used to be number 3 on that list! Which meant that some people
would see it and click on our Mapquest Original page and view it.
In order to rank number three on a search results query it was
mandatory that a webpage have
1, Good interesting original content.
2. Backlinks (other popular websites that link to you)
3. An ample volume of content.
4. A privately owned and paid for domain name.
5. Good design, pictures, video, graphics.
Our Website Mapquestoriginal has three of the above five items.
Every web designer or page rank specialist says that you cannot
obtain page one results without having "Backlinks".
We however do not have not one single solitary backlink, yet we
obtained a page rank of number three on page one in a search result.
We also never purchased the domain name WWW.Mapquest.com
We continue to use WWW.MapquestOriginal.blogspot.com because
it is free to use the blogspot.com web address. In hind site we
probably should have purchased and used MapquestOriginal.com
But it is no longer a concern because our page rank now has fallen off
of the planet. We can not even locate our web page in search results.
So we are being punished by some one, we dont know who or why
and probably never will!!!
But it doesn't matter because MapQuest has dropped off of the
proverbial MAP.
Every one now uses GPS on their cell phone or on their vehicle.

Hey Hey Hey!
We just went to the MapQuest website vie our cell phone, just to see how this website MapquestOriginal.blogspot.com looked.
Well much to our surprise MapQuest still doesn't get it. The get it fact is that MapQuest needs to be more user friendly.
Long ago MapQuest changed their format from user friendly and free to what many Mapquesters* deemed un-user friendly but still free.
We personally like the option to turn off cookies and to not allow third party companies to track our every move online. Some websites make it very hard to turn off cookies or third party tracking companies.
We just tried to turn off cookies and third party tracking, but it was very difficult and we were not sure if it actually worked.
Well it seems that the problem from above was that we were using a VPN, a virtual private network that masks a users location and internet address. Our VPN shows that we were located in Europe, and Europe has different internet protocols and usage rules. In Europe you are given the option of turning off a websites cookies and third party trackers, but in the USA you're not even made aware of these options. To the best of our knowledge, this is how we think it works, we're not experts.
Once we turned the VPN off we were able to access Mapquest without giving any type of cookie or third party tracking/monitoring consent, we presume we have to accept cookie and third party trackers unless you go into your browser settings and disable or change the settings.
My neighbor says she doesn't care who tracks her or who spies on her, she just uses everything with no worries or concern. I wish I could be that way, but alas I can not, I don't like snooping, spying, companies who profit off of my info.
FYI~ Mapquest is still the best for Maps and Directions!!!

Howdy Hey GPS and map Fans.
Its been Years since we started our MapQuest Original website..
We started it with the hopes of gaining wide spread viewership.
But the google algorithm's had a different objective.
Well we're not blaming Google , were blaming the folks at MapQuest.
You see when the internet was young there was only one place to obtain directions or maps and that
was at MapQuest.
There were no
Google Maps
No Waze
No Apple Maps
No GPS Apps
The only place to go was good ole reliable MapQuest.
Then the folks at MapQuest decided to make some changes, they were not good changes.
MapQuest at one time was the number one go to website for directions and or Maps.
After their format change things kinda went downhill. Google Maps and various GPS apps
trounced MapQuest. MapQuest was no longer user friendly, when you went to their website you had to
relearn how to use it, it was no longer user friendly, it was all about adds and ad revenue.
Just like Sears and Kmart, MapQuest was once the KING.
The sad part about MapQuest's demise is that we will never know the truth as to why they chose their
destiny of suicide/death.
We have spent hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of hours on our Mapquest Original website, but its
time has come, Elvis has left the building.
And unfortunately gone, this will be our last Mapquest Original post.... there's no point in whipping a
dead horse................................
If we had any actual fans we would thank YOU....
In parting here is a picture of me:

Mapquest classic DIRECTIONS
After all of these years Mapquest still rocks.
There’s an internet ranking service that’s called Alexa. It has nothing to do with the voice command device that we’ll never use, we won’t use the Alexa voice command device because we feel like we’re being snooped on by a roomful of Alexians, but that’s just our phobia.
The internet ranking service Alexa has Mapquest currently ranked at 456. Mapquest’s 90 day ranking is surging upwards. These numbers are impressive due to the pandemic that is ongoing and because not many people are traveling nowadays.
People are working from home and buying many things online.
Lawyers, insurance, Doctors, Zoom...you name it, and everything is possible to be done online. Although we haven’t been able to get an oil change done online...yet.
Even though people aren’t doing much driving, or traveling, Mapquest is still a viable candidate in the driving directions and map business. This is a great accomplishment with everyone having free GPS on their cell phones.
Keep Rocking It Mapquest!

CATERWAULING and FALLING For FALL Y’ALL
We’re not going to caterwaul or bawl about fall because it may raise our
Cholesterol.
Sorry but we hate FALL, Y’all
Why? Because it means summer is over, and summer is always too short.
Right after fall comes winter, the only time we like winter is during Christmas
And New Years.
But we’re going to promote Fall just because it’s a good time to travel.
And when we travel guess what website we visit.
MAPQUEST
It’s a Good time to go see those dreaded leaves die, oops did we say that Out Loud?
What we meant to say was it’s a good time to go and watch the “COLOURS”.
We prefer the vibrant colours of an action adventure movie on a 84” to 105” flat screen tv with Dolby 7.2
surround sound.
The great outdoors are also great, nice campfire, stars, relaxation, ahhhh....yessss...
