Howdy Hey GPS and map Fans.

Its been Years since we started our MapQuest Original website..

We started it with the hopes of gaining wide spread viewership.

But the google algorithm's had a different objective.

Well we're not blaming Google , were blaming the folks at MapQuest.

You see when the internet was young there was only one place to obtain directions or maps and that

 was at MapQuest. 

There were no 

Google Maps

No Waze 

No Apple Maps

No GPS Apps

The only place to go was good ole reliable MapQuest.

Then the folks at MapQuest decided to make some changes, they were not good changes.

MapQuest at one time was the number one go to website for directions and or Maps.

After their format change things kinda went downhill. Google Maps and  various GPS apps

trounced MapQuest. MapQuest was no longer user friendly, when you went to their website you had to

 relearn how to use it, it was no longer user friendly, it was all about adds and ad revenue.

Just like Sears and Kmart, MapQuest was once the KING.

The sad part about MapQuest's demise is that we will never know the truth as to why they chose their

 destiny of suicide/death.

We have spent hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of hours on our Mapquest Original website, but its

 time has come, Elvis has left the building.

 And unfortunately gone, this will be our last Mapquest Original post.... there's no point in whipping a

 dead horse................................

 After all of these years Mapquest still rocks.

There’s an internet ranking service that’s called Alexa. It has nothing to do with the voice command device that we’ll never use, we won’t use the Alexa voice command device because we feel like we’re being snooped on by a roomful of Alexians, but that’s just our phobia.

The internet ranking service Alexa has Mapquest currently ranked at 456. Mapquest’s 90 day ranking is surging upwards. These numbers are impressive due to the pandemic that is ongoing and because not many people are traveling nowadays.

People are working from home and buying many things online.

Lawyers, insurance, Doctors, Zoom...you name it, and everything is possible to be done online. Although we haven’t been able to get an oil change done online...yet.

Even though people aren’t doing much driving, or traveling, Mapquest is still a viable candidate in the driving directions and map business. This is a great accomplishment with everyone having free GPS on their cell phones.

CATERWAULING and FALLING For FALL Y’ALL

 We’re not going to caterwaul or bawl about fall because it may raise our 

Cholesterol.

Sorry but we hate FALL, Y’all 

Why?  Because it means summer is over, and summer is always too short. 

Right after fall comes winter, the only time we like winter is during Christmas 

And New Years.

But we’re going to promote Fall just because it’s a good time to travel. 

And when we travel guess what website we visit.

It’s a Good time to go see those dreaded leaves die, oops did we say that Out Loud? 

What we meant to say was it’s a good time to go and watch the “COLOURS”.

We prefer the vibrant colours of an action adventure movie on a 84” to 105” flat screen tv with Dolby 7.2 

surround sound.

The great outdoors are also great, nice campfire, stars, relaxation,  ahhhh....yessss...
